Karen A. Wilson – President and CEO
Karen Wilson joined MAKE Corporation as a partner in 2002 and purchased the company in 2010. MAKE Corporation is a professional services and staffing company with offices in Chicago and Dallas. Over the course of her career, Karen has established herself at the forefront of contingent workforce management through her thought leadership and staffing services industry involvement.
Karen has been an active member of TechServe Alliance for more than twenty years, completing an eight year engagement on its board of directors in 2012 as chairman. She is proud to be currently serving on the Government Affairs committee. Karen also is president of the board of directors for VMS Professionals, a national not-for-profit association she co-founded in 2003. VMS Professionals is comprised of organizations that use contingent workers and has a mission to advance the industry and establish best practices in the acquisition and management of contingent labor. MAKE is the only staffing company that is a member of VMS Professionals, and Karen is a trusted and respected voice for the contingent services and staffing industry.
As MAKE’s owner and CEO, Karen’s passions lie in three key areas:

Demonstrating that you can run a successful business without sacrificing integrity, Karen believes anyone can make a difference by treating people the right way.
Karen and her husband Steve are active in their community and supporters of a number of charities including Special Olympics of Illinois, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Feed My Starving Children. In 2014, Karen had the honor of serving as co-chair at the Special Olympics Inspire Greatness Gala and as chair at the 2015 Gala. Karen and Steve are the proud parents of four grown children and three grandchildren!
Charlie MacConnachie – Vice President of Business Relations
Charlie MacConnachie has worked with MAKE Corporation since 2004 and in the IT services and professional staffing industry since 1998. At MAKE, Charlie is entrenched in both staff augmentation work as well as the managed IT services solutions group. Continuously interacting with clients, consultants and coworkers, he works tirelessly to reinforce the company’s reputation as an IT services market leader.
An energetic, enthusiastic and experienced professional, Charlie has been an active member of TechServe Alliance and the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) since 2004. He regularly attends and presents at national conferences around the country. He also has lobbied in Washington D.C. on behalf of the IT services and professional staffing industry.
Charlie is a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. He resides in Aurora, Illinois with his wife and two children.
Steve Wilson – Chief Financial Officer
Steve Wilson steers the company’s ongoing development and profitability. He brings decades of professional experience to MAKE Corporation and is responsible for all aspects of its financial operations, including value creation and strategic guidance. Known for his strong understanding of process improvement, Steve ensured a strong financial infrastructure through MAKE Corporation’s years of exponential growth.
Steve is active in several IT services professional organizations, including TechServe Alliance and the Technical Recruiters Network. He is an active lobbyist for the IT services and staffing industry.
He and his wife Karen have four grown children and are actively involved in giving back to the community. They support a number of children’s charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Starlight Starbright and Feed My Starving Children.
Shery Piercy – Recruiting Manager
Shery Piercy began her career with MAKE in 2006 as Consultant Advocate Assistant. She has since established herself as a valuable asset in many facets of the operations division. Shery has extensive knowledge of the human resources and support services requirements for external field consultants and internal office personnel. Her attention to detail, organization and extensive knowledge of staffing procedures aid her in keeping MAKE properly structured as a leading edge company in the professional services industry for MAKE’s growing market arenas. Shery’s personable nature and positive energy drive the entire team not only to achieve but exceed client and consultant expectations.
Shery calls Sugar Grove, Illinois home with her husband and son, and enjoys spending time with her two grown daughters and grandson Jackson when she isn’t spending weekdays with her MAKE family in the Oakbrook corporate office.
John Pottebaum – Quality Manager
John Pottebaum oversees the quality processes which ensure that MAKE Corporation consistently exceeds client and consultant expectations. John is deeply involved in the training and continued development of the sales and recruiting teams. He also plays a pivotal role in the professional development and redeployment of MAKE’s contract workforce.
John ensures a streamlined and uninterrupted flow of communications between MAKE and its IT services and professional staffing clients and consultants. He manages client SLAs for quality, turnaround time, process adherence and cost control.
He guides MAKE’s recruiting team in preparing candidates for successful interviewing and onsite work. John also takes care of consultants so clients don’t have to do so.
With more than 15 years of experience in the IT services and professional staffing industry, his background includes sales, account management, operations and recruiting for some of the top names in the Chicago and Dallas markets.
John resides in Wheaton, Illinois with his wife and two children.
Caitlin Dobson – Dallas Branch Manager
Caitlin Dobson started her career with MAKE Corporation in 2011 as an entry-level Technical Recruiter in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. She quickly realized her passion for the staffing industry and MAKE’s culture and core values. In 2014, Caitlin relocated to MAKE’s Dallas, TX office and was appointed Branch Manager. The leadership she provides has been instrumental in the continued growth of MAKE’s Dallas branch.
Caitlin grew up in Chicago, IL where she started her career with MAKE. She now resides in McKinney, TX with her husband, Drew.
