MAKE the Difference for Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is always one of our favorite community events at MAKE. Our teams have the opportunity to spend an evening fighting world hunger and contribute to the 63 million meals sent out annually by Feed My Starving Children. We have been able to participate at the Aurora, IL location and even at mobile-pack events in Dallas, TX.

Most recently, MAKE had the opportunity to feed more kids by sponsoring the Feed My Starving Children Illinois Gala on April 23, 2016.

MAKE the Difference for Ronald McDonald House Charities

Several of our MAKE team members have had first-hand experience with the service and care provided by Ronald McDonald Houses and we are always seeking new ways to give back to this organization. Throughout each year, MAKE employees cook meals at Ronald McDonald Houses in Chicago, Dallas, and Oklahoma City. We were “Guest Chefs” for a total of 16 meals over the past year. We also had the opportunity to be a part of this year’s Southwest Airlines LUV Classic. We LUV supporting Ronald McDonald House!

MAKE the Difference for Special Olympics

MAKE Corporation is grateful to have the opportunity to support the tremendous athletes of Special Olympics Illinois each year. The Plane Pull, Inspire Greatness Gala, and Polar Plunge are just a few examples of how the community can come together in support of our local Olympians. Here are a few ways MAKE has been involved in the last couple of months:

We had the honor of supporting Special Olympics Illinois at this year's First Look for Charity event at the Chicago Auto Show. The event raises $2 million annually for 18 charities across the community. Special thanks to our guests who were able to join us in our support for Special Olympics!

MAKE Corporation's Quality Manager, John Pottebaum, committed to “be bold and get cold” for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois in this year's "Super Plunge" event. Over a 24-hour period, he took 24 icy dips (once an hour, every hour) into the lake and personally raised over $3,400. Thank you, John, for your impact on the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities in Illinois!
