MAKE Corporation is grateful to have the opportunity to support the tremendous athletes of Special Olympics Illinois each year. The Plane Pull, Inspire Greatness Gala, and Polar Plunge are just a few examples of how the community can come together in support of our local Olympians. Here are a few ways MAKE has been involved in the last couple of months:

2015 Plane Pull for Special Olympics Illinois

The 8th annual Special Olympics Illinois Inspire Greatness Gala was hosted by Karen Wilson, President and CEO of MAKE Corporation. MAKE was honored to be a part of the event and enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate with the inspirational athletes of Special Olympics.

We had the honor of supporting Special Olympics Illinois at this year’s First Look for Charity event at the Chicago Auto Show. The event raises $2 million annually for 18 charities across the community. Special thanks to our guests who were able to join us in our support for Special Olympics!

MAKE Corporation’s Quality Manager, John Pottebaum, committed to “be bold and get cold” for the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois in this year’s “Super Plunge” event. Over a 24-hour period, he took 24 icy dips (once an hour, every hour) into the lake and personally raised over $3,400. Thank you, John, for your impact on the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities in Illinois!
